THE new Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has received a major boost from a pool and skittles marathon in Williton.
Men and women held the 12-hour sponsored event at the Wyndham Arms in May and raised a bumper £2,016 for the air ambulance.
The cheque was presented last Wednesday evening to air ambulance secretary Pru Breyley and paramedic supervisor Phil Chasemore.
Marathon organiser Babs Bagwell said: "I would like to say thank you to Dave, Gladys and Howard for putting up with us, all the girls and lads who took part in the pool and skittles and the lads who did the sticking up for us."
