SIR — There will always be an England, or will there?
I was happy to move 18 months ago from busy cosmopolitan London to the small town of Minehead - a town that obviously takes pride in its flowers, gardens, cottages and seafront.
Yet Saturday was April 23 St George's Day patron saint of England and our national day.
The scouts had a march the weekend before, which was great, but on the day I counted five St George's Day flags - and two of those were mine!
Thank you St Michael's Church for flying your flag with pride on the hill for everyone to see but why no-one else? More people display flags for the football.
Where is our national pride?

Old Farm Road,
Minehead.
