Sarah Schmidt-Ware, of Greencombe, Porlock, took this photograph of a bumblebee last Wednesday (September 20) on the marsh at Porlock Bay. She says there are 24 species of bumblebee in England and she is pretty sure that this one is a buff-tailed bumblebee (Bombus Terrestris).
