Former Minehead donkey paddock to have five-bedroom houses built in gated communityCentre manager Debbie Stanyon attended a special meeting of the ladies group to receive the cheque.
The group chose the information centre as its 2024 local charity and the centre is grateful for the support of the ladies.
Ms Stanyon said: “This donation will help towards the delivery of the services which the information centre offers.
“We are a service industry and every donation contributes towards the work we are able to do in and for the community and businesses, especially following the complete loss of vital grant funding, which we have received over the past few years.”
The facility has moved from the Old School Centre, where it has been based for nearly 30 years, to Vale Yard, in the village centre, in a collaboration with Miles Tea and Coffee Co.
