FABULOUS family fun was had over the bank holiday at the annual Porlock Charity Duck Race held on Sparkhayes Campsite.

The damp weather mid-afternoon did not deter the race-goers, who enjoyed ten races plus the grand finale, barbecue, face painter, licensed bar, tea and home-made cakes and ice cream as well as a Best Hat at the Races competition for adults and children.
Porlock Duck Race is organised by Porlock Carnival Committee and raises funds for Porlock Carnival, which takes place this year on Saturday September 7.
Nigel Southwood, chairman of the carnival committee, thanked the businesses and people of Porlock and the surrounding areas for generously sponsoring the races, donating prizes and supporting the event.
