Grant cuts to seven local organisations were challenged unsuccessfully by opposition members led by Cllr Peter Murphy.
They had argued that money from unexpected extra funding of nearly £160,000 from the Government’s Rural Services Delivery Grant (RSDG) should be used to maintain existing grants to local community organisations.
