WILLITON’S grade two listed Victorian police station in Priest Street is going up for sale next week after serving the area for nearly 160 years.

But Avon and Somerset police said that officers and the public inquiry office would remain in the building until new accommodation in West Somerset Council’s Williton headquarters is ready for occupation later in the year.

Operational policing will be unaffected.
