A WOMAN who was caught driving her car at 50 mph through a 30 mph zone in West Somerset has had her driver’s licence endorsed with six penalty points.
She pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared in Taunton Deane Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 21.
District Judge Angela Brereton, who heard the case, was told the woman was caught speeding in her Suzuki car by a police camera trap on the A39 in St Audries on Sunday, February 2, of last year.
Judge Brereton also fined the woman £365 and ordered her to pay costs of £120 and a victim fund surcharge of £146 and was given until June 18 to clear the total of £631.
