SIR — This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great War and I am making one last plea to anyone in the area who found a picture frame containing my late father's war medals.
He won the Military Medal for gallantry, which is in that frame together with other campaign medals. He was gassed on the Somme, which eventually killed him.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of his medals, could they please contact me? I made a similar plea in the 1970s after moving from Watchet, but I heard nothing.
It is very hurtful to think they were mislaid because they meant so much to me - especially now that it's the war's centenary.
