RESIDENTS living in Danesborough View, in Williton, have helped to raise £200 for the Children's Hospice South West and St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
Every year the Danesborough View Social Club organises a fundraising raffle, with residents in the sheltered housing complex buying tickets for a chance to win a variety of prizes.
The social club committee then decides which charity to donate the proceeds to, and this year opted for the two hospices.
Danesborough warden Marilyn Hill said the club always chose local charities as the beneficiaries and presented this year's proceeds at their annual New Year party.
