SIR — I am writing to say that the recent accident at the Alcombe roundabout, where yet another car hit Mick's Traditional Fish and Chip Shop (Free Press October 26) brought back many painful memories for myself and my family, who have been trying to come to terms with our horrific accident at the same spot 16 months ago.

I hope now that Somerset County Council realise that something has to be done to prevent this ever happening again, or will it take the death of someone for them to sit up and take action?
