THANKS to Storm Dennis, there is only one opportunity to see the snowdrops at Elworthy Cottage this year.
The garden will be open for the National Garden Scheme on Thursday, the first opening having been cancelled because of Storm Dennis.
The garden has over 350 named varieties of snowdrops, most of which are clearly labelled, as well as areas where the common snowdrop is naturalised.
New growth has already started on some of the many varieties of unusual shrubs and trees planted around the garden and hellebores and Cyclamen coum add colour to the areas planted with snowdrops.
