THERE is a chance to see what progress is being made to turn Minehead’s Old Hospital into a community hub when the owners throw open the building to the public tomorrow evening and Saturday morning.

Company spokesman Bill Griffiths said: “This is an opportunity for visitors to quiz board members while also offering additional ideas of their own, which will be added to those which have already been received from a recent community consultation.
“The building is there for the use of anyone or any organisation who wishes to use it either on a full-time basis, or for prescribed rental periods, local charities or community organisations.”
He said early feedback from the consultation had suggested that possible occupants of the building might be the town library, Minehead Town Council, Dementia Awareness and other local support groups.
The Old Hospital will be open to visitors from 6pm 9pm tomorrow and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
