SIR — On Monday (August 2) at approximately 10.25pm, I saw what appeared to be a UFO on the A39 Bridgwater road.

I left my boyfriend's house in Bridgwater at 10pm and was travelling home towards Minehead when I saw two lights which were red and a green, above my car and coming towards me.

My instant reaction was to slow down, and as the object got closer to me I could see what appeared to be a silver surface that was circular around these lights.

I continued to drive because I was uncertain of what the object was and because I am not the bravest of people. I glanced behind me to see if it was still there but I could not see anything.

I am sure there were no other cars around but I was wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this in the local area or in fact seen the same thing I did that night.

Up until that night I never really believed in there being anything else out there, and to be fair there could have been someone with a remote control flying this thing around trying to scare people, but if it wasn't then I can see why people get so freaked out by aliens and the unknown.
