SIR — What on Earth is West Somerset Council doing?

First it builds an information centre which everyone said was in the wrong place.

Secondly, it closes Aquasplash through bad management under the guise of costing too much to repair. It has promised a new pool which we know will never materialise.

Now it is trying to add more misery to people of all ages who use Blenheim Gardens by closing the loos, thus forcing people to go behind bushes and buildings.

The gardens were given to the people of Minehead - they belong to the people, not the council.

Also, has the dog warden still got a job?

Somerset County Council has cut back on the hours at the recycling centre, encouraging fly tipping. It should have increased the opening hours and perhaps charged a set fee which would more then cover the cost.

No doubt at the end of the year they will all be seeking their expenses as they clap and dance around Minehead's new clock.

I don't know about a new clock, we need new councils.
