PUPILS from nine of the district's first schools converged on Dunster last Friday to get their kicks in the annual West Somerset Schools' Sports Association's end of season football gala.
Around 60 youngsters from Cutcombe, St Michael's, Minehead, Timberscombe, St Dubricius, St Peter's, Knights Templar and Old Cleeve First Schools took part in the tournament with hosts from Dunster First School.
The children played in four-a-side matches with each game lasting three minutes.
During the gala, 25 matches were played and more than 50 goals were scored.

"The children all participated brilliantly, showing some wonderful skills and great sportsmanship.
"I would like to say a big thank you to all of the children and adults who helped to make it such a successful event."
