A meeting last month in St Petrock’s brought quite a number of interested people to discuss what the new group might do.
And the first lecture for the St Petrock’s History Group was held on Monday July 16.
Renowned master blacksmith Jim Horrobin gave a talk and slide show entitled ‘A Blacksmith’s Life on Exmoor’.
Over 60 people attended and the church was packed with people from Porlock, Allerford, Williton and Wootton Courtenay as well as locals from Timberscombe.
St Petrock’s History Group chairman Marion Jeffrey is already planning the meetings for the next year.
