SIR — I read the letter from your correspondent about the 'ghastly din' in Blenheim Gardens on a recent Sunday morning (Your Letters August 7).

As the organiser of the Blenheim Gardens Music Festival, I would just like to assure readers that the complaint is nothing to do with the music we programme as our concerts never start before midday on a Sunday.

I hope that puts our many supporters' minds at rest.
