AS part of national Heritage Open Days, the volunteer churchyard team in Carhampton is hosting a Covid-free, family-friendly nature activity on Saturday (September 12).
It is open to anyone who would like to find out about things they probably did not know existed in Carhampton churchyard.
Between 10am and 1pm, people will be invited to follow a trail of 18 photographs of year-round nature finds – such as rare wax cap fungi, primroses or cinnabar moths – which will be placed widely apart in the large churchyard.
Each laminated photo will have a letter on the back, and all these letters will spell the answer to the ‘hidden nature’. There may even be a prize for the winner!
