MOOR to Enjoy and Nettlecombe Field Study Centre hosted an outdoor nature activity for Home-Start West Somerset families at Nettlecombe Court recently.

More than 50 people, including children, parents, Home-Start volunteers and staff, took part in activities based on the Butterfly Conservation’s ‘Munching Caterpillars’ project.

The event was jointly led by Keeley Rolfe from Moor to Enjoy and Andy Nelson and the team from the field study centre.

Home-Start Manager Clare Pound said: “It was good to see so many families enjoying themselves while learning about moths, butterflies and caterpillars, creating a megapillar, planting caterpillar cafes and butterfly buffets and taking part in the ever exciting Easter egg hunt and hill rolling.

“Home-Start are very grateful to Keeley, Andy and the team for providing an opportunity for our families to take part in such a fun, outdoor event”.
