POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed when his bike veered across the A39 near Kilve into the path of an oncoming car. Andrew Dodd, aged 43, of Windsor Road, Bridgwater, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened just before 11am on Sunday. He had been riding towards Minehead with a group of "three or four" motorcyclists when his Honda 1000cc bike clipped the verge and collided with a BMW car travelling towards Bridgwater. Police are keen to speak to people who may have seen the group of bikers prior to the accident or who witnessed the collision.
