MAY has been designated Your Favourite Church Month, and the National Churches Trust is running an online campaign inviting people to name their choice – but so far no Somerset church has been nominated.

A special page has been set up on the Churches Trust website where they will feature all the churches submitted. They will add new churches each week, and each one submitted will be featured on their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram channels.

This month also sees Somerset Day and at the end of May a separate Somerset churches page will be created, supported by Somerset Day 365.

A spokesman for Somerset Day 365 said “Our churches are amongst the finest in the UK and we need to ensure they are recognised and featured.”
