THE doors of the Regal, Minehead, are being thrown open on Saturday (July 11) for people to have a look behind the scenes at the award-winning local community theatre.

The open day will run from 10 am to 1 pm as the Regal looks to recruit more volunteers to its team.

A spokesperson said: “Come along and we will take you on a journey into all those dark nooks and crannies the audience never sees.

“Why are we doing this, you ask?

“Well, we are looking for people to volunteer in a wide range of roles.

“Among others, we are seeking individuals to join our sound and lighting assistant, technicians, press office, website administrator, and front of house teams.

“Details of these roles, and others, can be found under the ‘volunteer’ tab on our website where you can apply online for any of the roles.

“However, if you would like to have a nose around the theatre, and discuss the opportunities, you can pop along on Saturday to meet us for a chat.”
