Minehead’s King Edward Road and Seashells Nurseries have added Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life to their timetable for the summer term.
They will be hosting a special event on Minehead Middle School’s playing fields on Wednesday June 26 as part of Race for Life’s schools programme.
Around 60 youngsters, aged from 12 months to four years, will join forces with parents and staff to take on cancer and walk, jog or run a kilomtere in aid of Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
To help the children prepare, the staff have been using a resource kit specially created by the charity which includes everything needed to stage the event as well as an assembly plan and top fundraising tips.

“Sadly, most of us know someone who has been touched by cancer and we all have our special reasons for taking part and wanting to help more people survive.
