A WEST Somerset cocaine user was found dead of a heart attack in his living room, an inquest into his death was told.

Callum Buchanan, aged 32, died on September 26 last year.

The former West Somerset College student was discovered lying on a sofa at his home in King George Road, Minehead.

Somerset assistant coroner Nicholas Lane, sitting in The Old Municipal Buildings, Taunton,  heard Mr Buchanan was ‘obviously deceased’ when he was found.

Mr Lane was told the cause of death was ‘acute heart failure’ and ‘exposure to cocaine’.

He recorded a formal conclusion that Mr Buchanan’s death was ‘drug-related’.
