YOUNGSTERS Rosalind Tremain, Sarah Date and Kirsten Wilsher will take pride of place at this year's grand carnival procession in Minehead.
Rosalind has been chosen as this year's gala princess and will be helped with her official duties by attendants Sarah and Kirsten.
The girls were crowned in Blenheim Gardens on Sunday at the start of this year's grand two-week event.
As well as an opening ceremony there were displays and entertainment and a host of races at Minehead Sailing Club.

Food hygiene ratings given to four Somerset establishmentsYesterday (Thursday) evening crowds were to be entertained by a display of line dancing in Blenheim Gardens, while this afternoon there will be children's rides, entertainment, displays and a duck race in Parks Walk.
Tomorrow sees a country and western evening at Minehead Social Club, while the fire brigade will be on hand on the seafront with their mobile information unit.
On Sunday, the Minehead Sailing Club cruise starts at 9am, while on Monday it will be buckets and spades at the ready for a beach sandcastle competition.
The popular Avenue street fayre takes places on Wednesday, while Thursday is geared to younger visitors with children's entertainment and sports in Blenheim Gardens.
However, next weekend will see the climax of the activities with wheelchair activities and lifeguard displays in the morning, a sailing club gala in the afternoon and the grand carnival procession from Alcombe to the town centre in the evening.
