'Significant' engineering job involved in repairing Exmoor coach crash roadCouncillors heard Minehead Pump Track Community Interest Company (CIC) had been established to develop the pump track facility.
The group has identified land in Culvercliffe, near Minehead Harbour, as its preferred site for the project.
Councillors were told the CIC had sought public feedback, which to date had been ‘predominantly positive’ and now had asked the town council if it would give ‘formal support’ for the project to help with future fund-raising.
They said it could cost £90,000 to build the track, which comprises a circuit of rollers, banked turns, and features where riders generate momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedalling or pushing.
