MINEHEAD churches will be holding their annual open garden party at Avenue Methodist Church next Saturday (July 15).

A special feature will be storytelling by local performer Alex Simson, who will be re-telling folk stories in her own skilled way for all ages at 2.45pm and 3.15pm.

There will be various stalls and challenging sideshows to try in the garden whilst tea and cakes will be available in the church hall, and there will be musical entertainment at times. 

The free event runs from 2.30 to 4.30. Donations made will go the work of RAFT (Refugee Aid from Taunton) for its ongoing work for refugees in many countries.
