A public meeting will be held in Porlock Village Hall on Thursday, January 24, at 7pm to hear from the Porlock Vale Coastal Community Team.

The group has been working on some initiatives which have to date involved a new website - www.porlock.co.uk - an economic plan, an addendum to the original Porlock Plan and a new and refreshed village leaflet.

Its chairman said: "We held a public meeting right at the beginning of this project to hear from residents and businesses in the Vale, and as things have happened we are inviting everyone along again on January 24 to hear more about what we have been working towards and what we would like to achieve, importantly with community support."

Those present will hear from several members of the committee on the background to the Coastal Community remit, activities to date and projects for which funding is being sought, and the Onion Collective from Watchet will also be there to inspire those present on the activities achieved in Watchet.
