DESPITE the closure of the road to Blue Anchor, Watchet is all set to welcome capacity crowds in the coming week for a packed programme of half-term holiday events for all the family which starts on Sunday (May 28).

Sunday, May 28: Watchet Annual Wheelbarrow Race - starting grid on the Esplanade at 2pm. For more details see WATCHET LIVE.

Monday, May 29: Family Craft Drop in at East Quay. Giant Collage: Mark Making 2-4pm
Tuesday May 30: Family Craft Drop in at East Quay. Giant Collage: Boat Making 2-4pm

Friday, June 2: 11.00am Pirate Party at Watchet Visitor Centre. Come and see the new Watchet cartoon of the story of the Pirate King!
2.00-4.00pm family craft drop in at East Quay. Giant Collage: Sea Creatures. 6.00pm food special 'Paella' at East Quay Kitchen.
7.30pm Old Time Sailors entertain at East Quay.
Saturday, June 3: 11.00am to 1.00pm Hobby Horse workshop at East Quay. Get ready for the cavalry charge on the Esplanade!
1.00pm Captain Popham’s Story and the Cavalry charge.
2.00pm Big Shanty Sing on the Esplanade - Come and join in with all your favourite shanties.
3.30pm at East Quay, Watchet Community Choir sing maritime favourites. Come and singalong!
4.30pm Maritime Spoken Word at East Quay.
6.00pm Singing Siren Mermaid at East Quay followed at 7.00pm by Dock Rock Party and BBQ.
