THE A396 Dunster to Tiverton road was blocked for a time on Thursday afternoon (July 13) after a single-vehicle crash.

'Moorland Mums' raising funds for school science by walking Exmoor's boundaryThe accident happened at about 1.30 pm in Timberscombe, between Dunster and Wheddon Cross, and completely closed the road, with police saying: “Nobody can get through at this stage.”
One man was taken by an ambulance crew for treatment in Musgrove Park Hospital, in Taunton.
Avon and Somerset Police said the man’s injuries were not thought to be ‘life-threatening or life changing’.
Drivers were advised to find alternative routes as a road closure was set up to allow the vehicle to be recovered and debris to be cleared from the carriageway.
The road was reopened after the clear-up and recovery operation was completed.
