SIR — I am writing in respect of the report concerning our planning application and the future of Lloyds Bank in Williton (Free Press June 6). Some months ago we sought a meeting with Lloyds Bank to discuss their future, but their agents reported that our invitation was declined. We had planned to offer them a prime site, and are still able to do this of a size to suit their requirements – up to twice the size of their current facilities should this be needed. We fully understand the importance of retaining banking facilities in our community, but the best way of doing so is by ensuring a busy and prosperous retail centre.
