BOTH Minehead lifeboats launched on Saturday evening (July 11) after a person was injured in a fall on a Watchet beach and cut off by the tide.
The crews were on scene within 30 minutes of being paged just after 5.15 pm and found the casualty trapped on a rock, with tricky conditions for a beach landing.
Working with Coastguards, the casualty was taken onboard the smaller D-Class lifeboat and transferred at sea to the Atlantic 85 and taken to Minehead to meet their family.
An RNLI spokesperson said: “This rescue illustrates the importance of calling HM Coastguard for assistance in case of any emergencies on the coast.
