LIBRARY staff in Somerset staff are running an events and activities programme using digital platforms while library buildings are temporarily closed.
They range from video story times, quizzes and Lego challenges to book recommendations and even gardening tips.
Cllr David Hall, cabinet member with responsibility for libraries, said: “We would love as many people as possible to engage with our new events and activities programme which can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“Our first ever live book-related quiz on the Somerset Libraries UK Facebook page proved a great success, provided as part of the celebrations for World Book Night, and we will be delivering more of these soon.”
Today (Friday), libraries nationally will be joining in with Booktrust’s ’Pyjamarama’ online festival of stories for children and families at home.
