YEAR 11 at Kingsmead in Wiveliscombe reflected the school’s rural roots with some inventive prom arrivals at Oake Manor Golf Club in Taunton last week.

Tractors, horses, go carts and trail bikes were among the novel conveyances for their special night.

Anna Cox, deputy headteacher, said: “A wonderful night was had by all. The amazing array of arrivals, from a Ferrari to tractor convoys to mobility scooters, horses, lawn mowers and trail bikes, set the scene for a truly memorable night for the Year 11 leavers, who all looked fantastic in their prom suits and dresses.

“Our wonderful students had a well deserved celebration to mark the end of a year of hard work and determination - they were all a credit to Kingsmead, we wish them all the very best for their futures. Thank you to all who helped organise a magical night and to Oake for everything they always do to make the night run so successfully.”
