WASSACKS – Women And Supporters of the St Audries Club of Kindred Spirits – raised £800 for Watchet Dementia Action Alliance.

The money, raised at weekly social and fundraising meetings, was presented by Ian Moore and Maureen Lindo to WDDA lead Margaret Tatham, picture second left, who was accompanied by secretary Jan Simpson-Scott, far right.

It will be put to very good use as Margaret continues her drive to make people and businesses more aware of the disadvantages of living with dementia, whether as a patient or a carer.

Wassacks has also made donations to several other notable groups this year including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St John Ambulance, and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
