THEY tossed them, flipped them, raced with them – and ate them, proving that there is nothing like a good pancake, especially when made by a WI member!
Over 35 women gathered on Tuesday at Kilve Village Hall for the Kilve and District WI’s annual event to mark Pancake Day, with guest members also attending from local WIs at St Audries, Watchet, Williton and Bicknoller.
The event involved a number of games, including walking races while tossing pancakes, musical pancakes, which is like musical chairs, and team games.
A lunch of homemade soup was followed by … pancakes, and the day was celebrated in style.

“It was good fun and the pancakes were very nice – all homemade,” said Sue.
