BOOKWORMS at Knights Templar have been officially named as 'Circus Stars' after rising to a national reading challenge.
Youngsters aged between four and 11 across the country were encouraged to read at least six library books during their summer holidays.
Everyone who made the grade was presented with a certificate and medal and named as a Summer Reading Challenge Circus Star.
The reading challenge is the biggest national reading initiative and runs in libraries throughout the summer holidays.
Knights Templar youngsters received their awards last week and headteacher Frances Burns said she was proud of the children's achievements.
"It is super that so many of our children are keen library-goers and enthusiastic readers," she said.
"This challenge was fun to do and recognises their enjoyment of reading."
