Alongside the seasonal spike, Minehead crews also supported ambulance teams gaining entry to properties for medical cases, and attended a hazardous material incident, a car fire, automatic fire alarm activations, and the fatal school coach crash on Cutcombe Hill.
A spokesperson said: “While we continue with the dry weather and with forecasts appearing to remain hot and dry over the next few weeks, please ensure extra care is taken outdoors.
“Bonfires and all ‘controlled’ fires require the ability to extinguish along with full appreciation of its consequences.”
