TALENTED seamstress Julia Burton is helping to raise money for the West Somerset branch of the mental health charity MIND.

Julia spent 100 hours painstakingly sewing together hundreds of patchwork squares to make a double quilt to be raffled in aid of the organisation.

The quilt, which is predominantly a mix of blues and autumnal browns, is currently on display in the window of Toucan Wholefoods in The Parade, Minehead.

Raffle tickets will be on sale in Toucan and through MIND's outreach services until January 31, with the draw due to be made in the Minehead offices of MIND at 2pm on February 14.

More information about the raffle and the work of the charity is available on 01823 334906.
