A WIVELISCOMBE man has been jailed for 22 weeks by a Taunton Crown Court judge after admitting driving while disqualified and assaulting and imprisoning a man.
Steve McKenzie, aged 35, of Nordens Meadow, was sentenced by Judge Paul Cook on Thursday, July 15, for driving a Vauxhall Frontera car without a valid licence in Meadows Way, Milverton, on May 6, and assaulting and detaining a man against his will on the same day.
Judge Cook imposed a 10-week term of imprisonment for the driving offence and a 22-week prison sentence to run concurrently for the false imprisonment charge.
Six penalty points were endorsed on McKenzie’s driving licence and he was banned from entering a named area and ordered not to contact two named individuals for the next three years.
