AWARD-winning chef John Bradley shares his fig tart recipe in our Exmoor Recipe column tomorrow - and he is also joining forces with five other chefs to cook for a charity tasting dinner next month.

John, from Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel at Wootton Courtenay, will cook the dessert for the dinner at Knowle Manor near Dunster on Tuesday November 19 in aid of mental health charity Mind in Somerset.

The event has been organised by Chefs for Hope, which was set up by Mike Griffiths, head chef of the Farmers Arms at Combe Florey, and Elke Winzer, organiser of the Exmoor Food Fest, with the aim of helping charities raise funds.

John will be joined in the Chefs for Hope team by James Mason, former head chef at Kentisbury Grange in Devon, Ellis Pannell, chef patron of the Pyne Arms in North Devon, Paul Berry and Olivier Certain from The Swan in Bampton and Liam Finnegan, head chef at The Castle in Taunton.

They will be supported by learners of Foxes Academy in Minehead.
