In response to the letter from A Hodge (Free Press August 9), the facility at Hurlstone Point is no more than a humble bothy – a basic shelter for travellers.
The proposal by the National Trust was sent to Selworthy and Minehead Without Parish Council via Exmoor National Park Authority as one of a number of consultees. The parish council did not object to this planning application.
