For the first time this season the track was hard and the outfield fast. The Milverton batsmen took full advantage with Graham Bellamy (40), Matthew Hannaford (35), Phillip Gould (26) and, towards the end of the innings, skipper Dave Burton weighed in with a quick 23.
Milverton were all out for 213 with veteran Dave Veale taking two wickets in their 45th over.
Minehead openers started at a cracking pace but when spinner Jamie Skittrall was brought into the attack he removed both in his second over but Graham Mair with a hard hitting 56 and Ted Murrell (29) kept the score board ticking and brought the 100 up in the 19th over, but when they were both out by the 32nd over with the score on 150 it only remained for Dave Hurley and Andy Dawe (29 no) to score the remaining 75 runs for Minehead's first win of the season.
Milverton: 213 (G Bellamy 40, M Hannaford 35, P Gould 26, D Hurley 4-38, A Murrell 3-60, D Veale 2-6).
Minehead: 215-4 (G Mair 56, D Hurley 42 no, A Dawe 29 no, A Murrell 29, D Lethaby 29, J Skittrall 3-56).
