Staff at Minehead Hospital have celebrated ten years at their ‘new’ site after moving from the Old Hospital in the town on February 14, 2011.

A very restricted celebration saw staff take time out to celebrate with coffee and cakes in each department.

Spokesperson Jayne Cornish said: “Cakes were distributed to the departments to show the appreciation of staff who have worked through the pandemic and held the hospital together.

“It has been a very challenging year and teams have pulled together to provide a united front helping and covering departments whenever there were shortages.”

The hospital would like to thank all staff past and present, patients and the community who continue to support it.
