WEST Somerset grandmother Venetia Moore is taking on a zip wire challenge on the world’s fastest zip line where she may fly at speeds faster than 100 mph to raise funds for her seriously ill baby granddaughter.
Seven-month-old Maddison-Grace has been fighting for her life in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children after being born with two life-threatening heart and lung conditions.
Now, Maddison-Grace is receiving palliative care and her parents Luke and Chelsea Moore, who live near Exeter, are facing financial pressures as they are unable to work.
Holistic health and wellbeing practitioner Ms Moore said: “She has already undergone two heart surgeries and is due to have more this year.”

Ms Moore is travelling on June 25 to Zip World, in Aberdare, Wales, which is billed as having the fastest seated and steepest zip lines in the world.
She is hoping to raise £2,000 to support the family ‘with ongoing expenses during this very difficult time’.
Ms Moore said: “It has been an incredibly stressful and emotional journey for Luke and Chelsea and they need all the support they can get.
“My darling granddaughter has been fighting for her health and her life.
“At two weeks old she underwent open heart surgery, and treatment has continued for most of her life.
“Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
“Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
“I am fund-raising £2,000 to support my granddaughter’s medical journey and to help her immediate family with ongoing expenses during this very difficult time.”
Ms Moore, has set up a JustGiving online fund-raising page which has already brought in nearly £600.
It will be a first zip wire experience for Ms Moore, who has been a practitioner for more than 30 years and founded Minehead’s True Nature wellness clinic, which is situated above Toucan Wholefoods.
