THE Plastic Free Community Groups of Minehead, Porlock, Watchet and Exmoor will be holding beach cleans at the weekend and they would welcome as many people as possible to come along and help.

All beach cleans will run from 11am to 1pm and litter-pickers and sacks will be provided, although anyone attending will need to bring their own gloves and hand sanitiser.

The beach cleans are part of the Marine Conservation Society’s annual Great British Beach Clean and the Severn Estuary Big Beach Clean initiatives.

On Saturday (September 25), the third of four local beach cleans will be in Porlock, meeting at the National Trust car park at Bossington, and the final one is on Sunday, when volunteers should meet at the car park by the entrance to Dunster Beach Holidays.
