HEAD teacher Chris Blazey is leaving St Dubricius School in Porlock in September to join the national park team at Pinkery Outdoor Centre.

'Moorland Mums' raising funds for school science by walking Exmoor's boundaryChris has been at St Dubricius for 15 years and was a founder member of the Exmoor Coast Federation which provides for the children transitioning to middle schools from the Moorland Federation, Minehead First and St Michael’s schools.
He has devoted time and energy to the school, church, community, and families over the years and organised the building of Oak Nursery and Church Rooms in 2010.
The Rev Ann Gibbs, Moorland Federation link governor to St Dubricius School, said: “Chris has given amazing service to the schools and local community in his years as headteacher here. He has helped strengthen links with the church and will be greatly missed.”
Farewell celebrations have been delayed by the coronavirus restrictions, so those with wishes or memories they would like to share with the school about Chris’ time at St Dubricius are asked contact the school office.
