IN brilliant sunshine, the 72nd Hawkridge Revel and Gymkhana took place on bak holiday Monday.

It was well supported and the organisers were delighted to welcome back several families and friends who have helped and supported the event over the years – and many competitors from early years.

Showing classes started the day’s activities and the champion in this section was Alice Menon riding Queenie with James Siggs and Vitas placed reserve.

The showjumping was well supported with classes running into the late afternoon. The dog show was also popular, with over 20 in one class.

There was a good turn-out for the Mountain and Moorland classes and the new ‘veteran’ class.

The fancy dress was again very popular and many joined in the foot events for children and adults.

The committee would like to thank everyone for their help and support, the judges, stewards, sponsors and those who ran the stalls and sideshows, and also the Pugsley family for the use of the field.
