SIR — On March 10 our two grandsons were attacked on Watchet Memorial Ground.
One is an electrician, the other a plumber, and both hard working young men, no handouts, they've both got where they are from hard work.
They were attacked on the ground where they've both played football, as did their father before them, and proud to do so.
It was a cowardly attack, completely unprovoked, by no fewer than 26 individuals — you know who you are.

How can this continue? Where are the parents? Stand up and be counted, we are all responsible for our children.
The case has been thrown out with the dish water, with little regard to the damage to our grandsons, their clothes, an overnight stay in hospital and loss of work.
These mindless individuals will do this agin. Have parents lost all the teaching of respect?
Our grandsons are getting on with their lives and we are extremely proud of them.
But may I remind you all that you too have sons, grandsons and great-grandsons.
Watchet is no longer a place of safety. The time has come to stand up and be counted.
